our second year practice was completely online. in the first week back, we had a cross programme welcome project called the postcard project, wherein you would design several postcards and upload them to an online padlet. i used this as an opportunity to explore methods of painting i hadn't previously, creating several smaller abstract pieces along with the more realistic style i was used to painting in. many of my pieces were centred around the feeling of warmth associated with receiving a postcard, along with a few more literal postcards exploring place and people.
